Build Learning Content That Doesn't Take Forever with Claude
November 20, 2025
The Demands Are Changing
Clients aren't satisfied with static content anymore. They're asking for more engaging, interactive learning experiences in their training programs. Drag-and-drop activities, scenario-based simulations, adaptive assessments that feel modern and responsive.
Tools like Articulate Storyline work for many use cases. But what happens when clients have more nuanced or complex needs? Custom interactions that don't fit templates? Specialized accessibility requirements? Integration with existing systems that demand flexibility?
And here's the kicker: stakeholders want faster, more tangible results. They want to see working prototypes in days, not weeks. They want to iterate in real-time during review meetings, not schedule another round of feedback three weeks out.
The gap between what clients need and what traditional workflows can deliver keeps getting wider.
The Problem Nobody Was Talking About
Kim Prokosch from Six Red Marbles knows learning design inside and out. With years of experience creating scalable learning solutions for clients across industries, she was seeing this gap firsthand. Traditional development cycles for interactive learning content were fundamentally broken.
Weeks of back-and-forth with developers. Expensive custom builds for every interaction. Faculty waiting for prototypes that arrive too late to inform pedagogy.
She came to me looking for a technical solution that could leverage AI to fundamentally change the equation.
The "What If" Moment
Kim's expertise made the challenge crystal clear. Her clients needed reusable learning objects that could be rapidly customized without rebuilding from scratch each time. The content had to be interactive, accessible, and deployable at scale across different LMS platforms.
The question became: Could AI-enhanced development workflows make this possible?
What if we could go from concept to working prototype in under an hour? Not a static mockup. A real, functional SCORM package that works in any LMS, tracks learner data, and can be customized through natural language prompts.
That's when we built the SCORM AI Learning Object Framework.
What We Actually Built
Kim laid out the requirements based on years of working with higher ed institutions and corporate clients. She needed something that could serve real learning design needs, not a tech demo.
I built a production-ready framework using AI-enhanced development workflows that delivers on every requirement:
- Shrinks development cycles from weeks to minutes. Tell Claude Code what you need, and watch it modify content, interactions, and design in real-time.
- Makes interactivity accessible. Drag-and-drop, matching, hotspots, and categorization activities. No developer required. Just describe what you want.
- Works everywhere. SCORM 1.2 compatible means it drops into Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, or whatever LMS your institution is using.
- Meets accessibility standards out of the box. WCAG 2.1 AA compliant, screen reader tested, keyboard navigation built-in.
- Scales without breaking. Version control through Git, collaborative workflows, and one-click builds that create deployment-ready ZIP files.
The Real Impact
Kim immediately saw how this changed the game for her clients:
For instructional designers: You can test three different interaction models with faculty in the same meeting instead of scheduling follow-ups weeks later.
For institutions: You're not locked into rigid templates or expensive custom development for every course refresh.
For learners: They get content that actually engages them because designers have time to iterate instead of settling for "good enough."
As Kim put it: this isn't about replacing learning designers with AI. It's about giving experts like her the technical tools to execute their vision at the speed modern learning demands.
Why This Matters Now
Higher ed is competing with slick corporate learning platforms and AI-powered adaptive systems. Meanwhile, most course development still moves at the speed of traditional software projects.
This framework doesn't just speed things up. It fundamentally changes what's possible when learning designers have the right tools that match the pace of modern pedagogy and learner expectations.
Try It Yourself
The framework is live at https://tchr01.github.io/prototypes/scorm/
Explore the interactive demos, test the SCORM API simulator, or dive straight into building your own learning object. The setup takes 15 minutes, and you'll have a working prototype before your coffee gets cold.
